Emma Katarina Mannfolk Salminen

Emma Katarina Mannfolk was born in Kristinestad, Finland on 5 Oct
1868 to Johan Michelsson Mannfolk and Kaisa Carlsdotter Öman. She
was the sister of John Mannfolk Williams, Ida Mannfolk, and Henrika
Mannfolk.
She married Carl Salminen and had 5 children:
Alice (Aini), b. 27 Apr 1894
Saga, b. abt 1905
Doris
Lonny
Carl Johan Julis, b. 26 Sep 1906
Emma died in 1908 of pneumonia, and her sister Ida cared for her
children.
Two of her children came to Minnesota:
Alice (Aini) Salminen came in 1913 aboard the S.S. Mauretania.
She married Charles Anderson, another immigrant from
Finland. They had 4 daughters:
Elsie Victoria, b. 1915
Margaret Marie, b. 1918
Doris Elizabeth, b. 1920
Florence Loraine, b. 1922
Alice died 2 jan 1967 in Hibbing, Minnesota.
Carl Johan Julis Salminen came to the U.S. in 1929 aboard the
S.S. Oscar II. He never married and he died 9 Dec 1966 in
Carlton Co, Minnesota.
Postcard sent in 1908 to John Williams telling him
that his sister Emma had died of pneumonia.
