Jonas Peter Person was born 18 May 1873 in Bredsjö, Ljustorp, Västernorrland, Sweden to Jonas
Persson and Anna Cajsa Jonsdotter. He moved with his family in 1892 to Timrå, Västernorrland,
Sweden.
He married Kristina Skoglund (b. 30 Apr 1874 in Nätra) on 2 Jul 1898 in Timrå. They had 1 child:
Anny Augusta, b. 9 Sep 1898-d. 20 Feb 1900 in Timrå
In 1904 Jonas and Kristina left Sweden and immigrated to Minnesota with his mother. They settled in
Hibbing, St Louis County, Minnesota.
Kristina died on 21 Feb 1906 in Hibbing.
Jonas remarried shortly after Kristina's death to his first cousin Brita Helena Brunberg. She had
recently had a baby boy out of wedlock. In fact, he was born on the day that Kristina died. (Weird, but
verified on his birth certificate!) They married on 19 Apr 1906 in Kanabec County, Minnesota.
Brita's child was Nels Alfred Lindquist (father on birth certificate is listed as Alfred Lindquist) and he
later took the name "Person".
Jonas and Brita had 2 other children together. They were:
Godfrey Erick, b. 26 Apr 1908 in Kanabec county
Helen Christine, b. 2 Mar 1910 in Itasca county
Jonas died on 10 May 1919 in Itasca county, Minnesota. His wife Brita remarried Charles Lindberg
(NOT the famous pilot, unfortunately!) and moved to Ohio.
