Bror August Harlin was born on May 8, 1867 in Ållsjön, Ed, Västernorrland,
Sweden to Johan Olsson Harlin and Anna Brita Olsdotter. He lived with his
parents until he was 20 years old (1887), when he moved to the parish of
Resele. He lived there until 1893 and then emigrated to the U.S.
He first settled in Kanabec county, Minnesota. In the 1900 census he was
boarding with the John Berlin family in Arthur township.
August married Anna (Olsdotter) Unger on April 25, 1903 in Mora, Kanabec
Co, MN. She was a widow with 3 children that had recently immigrated
from Sweden. The children from her first marriage were:
Anna Augusta, born 9 Sep 1889
Carl August, born 23 Jun 1891
Johanna Wilhelmina, born 11 Jun 1894
August and Anna had 3 children:
Arthur, born 15 May 1904
Eleanora Elvera, born 7 Dec 1907
Viola Mildred, born 13 Jun 1910
They lived in Mille Lacs Co, MN for their entire marriage and farmed.
August died on January 2, 1925.
