Karl Oskar Harlin
Karl Oskar Harlin was born on March 21, 1873 in Ållsjön, Ed,
Västernorrland, Sweden to
Johan Olsson Harlin and Anna Brita
Olsdotter.  He came to the U.S. with his older brother Olof.  He
arrived in May 1900 on the
S.S. City of Rome.  His brothers Olof,
August, and Albin all changed their name to "Hallin".  Oscar kept the
name "Harlin".  
Oscar married Mary McDonald about 1912 and lived in Itasca Co, MN.  
They had no children together.   He farmed for several years, and in
later years he took care of a resort there.  His grand-nephew
Bernard Hallin remembers visiting him there.  
Oscar died on August 20, 1937 in Deer River, Itasca Co, MN.
